Monthly online reading circle on degrowth
This squad is currently inactive. If you wish to revive it, please contact us!
The degrowth squad was a monthly online reading circle, where we discussed different topics related to alternative economies.
We choose a topic in our meetings that seems interesting to us and look for reading material that we can discuss.
We often include links to videos that explain a topic as well to ensure a low entry barrier for all participants.
So far we have had discussions on the doughnut economy, care and volunteering work, working class culture and resource taxation.
Everyone is invited to join the reading circle, there is no prerequisite but the willingness to listen to different opinions and to discuss with other people.

Responsible Leadership
Developing leadership skills together
This squad is currently inactive. If you wish to revive it, please contact us!
Students have the floor to discuss with their peers about the competencies of 1) Self-Awareness 2) Ethics and Values 3) Systems Thinking 4) Stakeholders Relations and 5) Change & Innovation that can help us become better leaders and their link to Responsible Leadership. They exchange experiences and perspectives on those topics, share questions and find a group to grow together as Responsible Leaders.
A fundamental underlying question is how to integrate and foster responsible leadership in Education, particularly in universities. All students are invited to join the call, including non-members of the oikos community.

The oiCoffee squad had been established to set up a check in mechanism for our community.
Now, the oicoffee happens every month, facilitated through our intranet platform oikosmos. oikees are meeting for 20 minutes with a randomly assigned fellow on a 1-to-1 online meeting, for a nice discussion over a cup of coffee or tea!
The squad has been closed after the introduction of the mechanism
