Arnaud Foubert wins the Award 2011 with a thesis on Carbon Credits
In his winner thesis "Definition and Diffusion of High-Quality Carbon Credits: Exploratory Case Study Gold Standard" Arnaud Foubert deals with the topic of Carbon Credits. In particular, he asks how standards are established in the newly developing market for Carbon Credits. His single-case study of the so-called "Gold Standard" is based on interviews with experts and stakeholders in the field. The jury acknowledged that Arnaud took a detailed and critical view on the topic, at the same time meeting high academic standards.
Arnaud Foubert has gained practical experience in the fields of emissions trading and political frameworks for climate change mitigation at the investment bank Natixis in Paris. Later, he participated in a research project about investment in wind and solar energy for the International Energy Agency. The project was conducted by the Chair for Management of Renewable Energies at the University of St. Gallen. Since 2010, Arnaud has been working as a consultant for CNC - Communications & Network Consulting AG in Munich.
Arnaud Foubert completed a double master programme between the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland (Master in International Affairs and Governance) and Sciences-Po in Paris, France (Master in Finance and Strategy). Previously, he graduated from the Paris Sorbonne Nouvelle University with a Master in German literature.
