Ankit currently works at Symantec Corporation on ‘Software Automation’ and is pursuing a part time masters in Sustainable sciences. He has pursed a Bachelor in Engineering – Information Technology followed by a Masters in Innovation Management. His interest in sustainability stems from the research he conducted to solve the environmental menace by discarded vehicle tires. Ankit has published 11 research papers in various International journals and some of his work is being reviewed at patent offices. He found oikos Pune in May, 2013. As the president of oikos Pune he worked on fund raising, conceptualizing projects, roadmaps and recruiting new members. He is pursuing a part-time master in Sustainable sciences. Project Igreen and SIVIC innovation centre are his brain child. Ankit is a certified Life Saver. He likes Bollywood movies and pet keeping.
Dominika Czyż is doing double degree in economics and applied linguistics. She has been the member of oikos Warsaw since 2010 and the President since 2012. In 2011 she was a Student Reporter in Davos and in 2012 became the manager of Energysavers project aimed at promoting sustainable energy consumption among students. In 2013 she was the main organizer of Sustainable Energy for Europe conference held as a 2nd CEE Regional Meeting in Warsaw. Her academic interests include applied microeconomics, sustainable energy and specialized translations. She is passionate about the culture of Medieval Ages, travelling and journalism.
Levan studies Economics at Tbilisi State University, Georgia. He founded oikos Tbilisi in January, 2011. As a president of oikos Tbilisi he led a lot of projects, including two large one-year projects funded by OSF. He has several years of managerial experience, working as a head of some local organisations in Georgia. His area of interest is sustainable development of economics, as well as in-depth research of other fields connected to it. His efforts to increase awareness of sustainability across Georgia and Caucasus Region are widely recognised and talked about by academia in Georgia. In his free time he likes to travel, hike and playing basketball.
Lenka currently serves as the President of oikos International 2013 – 2014. Together with the management team and the oikos Executive Board Lenka supports oikos chapters (more than 40 student clubs) run by around 1000 bachelor, masters, and PhD students in Europe, Asia, America and Africa. She mainly focuses on impact, leadership and strategic development in oikos. Lenka finished her first Masters in Environmental Studies at Masaryk University, Brno with highest honours and started her second Masters in Environmental Economics and Management at the University of Economics in Prague where she served as Vice-president and later President of the oikos Prague Chapter. Before taking the role of the oikos International President, Lenka worked at the Charles University Environment Centre, in the Eco-counselling centre of the Ecological Institute Veronica and in the Society for Fair Trade. She aims to be well oriented not only in the mainstream environmental economics and policy, but also in alternative economic approaches and promote fruitful discussions between these fields. Lenka is a passionate mountain hiker and dancer.
Hubert Pyliński – student of Finance & Accounting at Warsaw School of Economics, undergraduate of Polish-German Academic Forum with an exchange experience in Germany. He has been a member of oikos Warsaw since 2012 and vice-president since 2013. He is also a member of Energy Society at Warsaw School of Economics and Air Law Study Club at Łazarski University. His academic interests include energy sector, transport economics, in particular air transport, and economy & culture of South-East Asia.
Born in France in 1991, I am a responsible, dedicated, active, dynamic, joyful, and passionate person who likes participating in projects about sustainability. I am currently attending Neoma Business School in Reims in which I am the 2013-2014 oikos Reims president and represent all the social and humanitarian organizations towards the administration. I am also the one who represents locally – in Reims- the student French network organization concerning sustainability called Refedd. I have been part of oikos international as a member since September 2012 but really active since April 2013. It has been a wonderful experience so far!
