Javier Guzmán de Baya


Javier is a Spanish business development consultant and entrepreneur. He is passionate for social entrepreneurship and innovation. Since February 2014, Javier is collaborating with Socionext. Javier has co-created and implemented Business Development Strategy of Socionext in South Africa and provided training to local entrepreneurs and business development support advice in SA. Currently, Javier is implementing and facilitating for Socionext an Entrepreneurial Program focuses on 15 Rural Area Universities in South Africa. Javier is an economist with a second bachelor degree in Marketing (University of Seville). He also studied at the Faculty of Economy in Uppsala (Sweden) and at the Frankfurt Business School, in Frankfurt, Germany. Javier holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at ESMT Berlin. Javier has worked at Tsiba University in Cape Town, supporting Tsiba´s mission: to be an innovative learning community that graduates entrepreneurial leaders who ignite opportunity and social change. Javier has worked as consultant (Analysis of the Energy Storage Market) for Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in The Philippines. He has worked for the Andalusian Chamber of Trade and Commerce in Moscow (Russia) and worked as a EU-Technical expert ; FiMIP Project, (ERDF) European Initiative, and ADITAL (New technologies and resources Programme in South America, ALIS Programme: Strategic Programme DG Europaid European Commission

Ian Choo


Ian Choo is a Singaporean based in Copenhagen, Co-founder of LIGAIA, an crowd funding site enabling 'Triple Bottom Line' investments in Sustainable Forestry. He has been a founding member of Offshore Center Angola, a management consulting firm promoting investment in Angola, among the fastest growing economies in Africa. He has previously served in founding/board capacities in social ventures such as the Nepal Music Festival, a music festival based in Kathmandu.

Ian currently teaches on the joint programs between Niels Brock and Leicester Business School, and is an adjunct faculty in Entrepreneurship at the MBA program Copenhagen Business School. He holds an MSc (Global Politics) from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and is an alumni of IESE Business School in Barcelona.

Anita Negri


Anita Negri was born in Italy and worked and studied in over 14 cities. She has been President of oikos Maastricht and Chief Organiser of the Spring Meeting 2013. Anita has always had a passion for sustainability and education and developed these topics throughout her studies and work experiences. Anita is currently serving as oikos International President. In 2015 she has, amongst others, spoken at the Leaders Forum and at the United Nations PRME Conference. Whilst assisting oikos chapters around the world and transforming education she also established several campaign partnerships for oikos. The most recent one being the #KnowYourGoals campaign for the UN SDGs to be completed in September.

Tjaart Theron


Founder and Director of Socionext


The Socionext concept was developed as a university program at the University of Amsterdam by Tjaart Theron (1958), who is the Director of the Socionext Foundation (www.socionext.org since 2010). Tjaart is a South African living in Amsterdam. A graduate in Theology, Philosophy and Economics at the University of Stellenbosch and the University of Western Cape (1976-1984) and Masters in Development Economics at the Institute of Social Studies in The Hague (1985-1987). In 1994, he was Director of NEON, the civic organization responsible for overseeing the 1994 elections in South Africa. He was main researcher for the three-part BBC/Brian Lapping documentary The Death of Apartheid (1995) and director of an award-winning documentary (Dark, dark land) for Dutch television (1997). He has also worked in Development Aid (Oxfam-NOVIB) and in IT, PR, Corporate Communications and Advertising. Since 2013 Socionext (Africa) is also active in South Africa as a leading organization in entrepreneurship and social innovation development.

Konstantina Zoehrer


Konstantina Zoehrer is a Political scientist and social researcher with experience in political and social advocacy, public policies, social entrepreneurship and innovation, inclusive labor market grassroots/informal groups. She cofounded a number of social entrepreneurial and social initiatives. Since 2013, Konstantina is cofounder and Managing Director of social enterprise 180º (180 Moires) which aims to transform employment, specifically new ways ofinstitutionalisation of informality in employment.

Currently, Konstantina is involved as an advisor of Social Entrepreneurship Supporting Network (SES Net), aiming at setting up a Social Economy Fund for the development of social enterprises.

In June 2015, she got appointed as a "private expert" of the GECES - Expert Group Social Entrepreneurship, European Commission.

Konstantina Zoehrer is a St.Gallen Symposium Leader of Tomorrow, Tomorrow Lab (TOM Lab) and Falling Walls Lab alumni and a World Economic Forum Global Shaper.
