What is the role of co-presidents?
You’re not a solo act – you partner with another co-president, complementing and supporting each other, so that both you and the oikos Community can thrive! If you wish to learn more about our transition from a single president to a co-presidency model, read about it here.
Central Responsibilities:
As an oikos International co-president, you’re steering the team of approximately 10-25 professionals and volunteers from all over the globe.
Your co-presidency will embody the diverse scope of the organization, with roles shaped collaboratively post-election to address oikos’ dynamic needs and opportunities.
Collective leadership means shared responsibilities – navigating long-term alliances, fundraising strategies, and guiding the whole team with strategic foresight. Yet, each co-president serves the grand vision alongside fostering individual professional quests.

Participation in the Legislative Meeting on 19 April is mandatory for all candidates. oikos Chapter representatives who vote in the election of the next oikos co-president will watch your presentation and ask you for more detailed responses or clarifications, prior to casting their vote. This is a democratic process in electing the leadership of our Community, by participating, you embrace a culture of openness and accountability to the Legislative Assembly.
