An Assessment of Curricula and Strategies at Swiss Universities 2024 – We had the honor to be among the contributors to the report by our friends from WWF Switzerland, with oikos Co-presidents Carolin Lemke and Michael Winter writing the editorial of the report.
The report by WWF Switzerland, developed together with econcept, assesses where the economics courses and faculties in the country stand in terms of sustainability, what’s their potential for development and what the deans, course directors and lecturers can do in particular.
In today’s world, marked by climate change and AI advancements, companies that resist change will become obsolete. The business world needs individuals and teams who challenge norms and innovate. Who have the courage to experiment, try out, fail and iterate.
The report is available online and you can read it here.
Alongside the study and the publishing of the report, oikos has given another contribution through the St. Gallen chapter who provided the perspective of students. This was done through a survey which questioned students about: What do economics students think about sustainability in their studies? What is their own assessment and what expectations do they have?
The findings of the survey are available online in German language and you can read more about them here.
