Today we celebrate International Volunteers Day! It’s a moment to honor the heart and soul of oikos: you. Every chapter member, alumnus, and oikos International Board or Team member contributes to the energy, creativity, and impact that define our Community. Thank you for every hour, every idea, and every action you’ve shared to move us forward.
This year has been one of reflection and rethinking oikos. Together, we’ve placed our greatest strength – the oikos Community – at the core of our purpose and vision. In a world full of turbulence and uncertainty, it’s this Community that anchors us, allowing us to be resilient, adaptive, and forward-looking.
oikos is more than an organization; it’s an ecosystem of change. Each of you brings unique stories, perspectives, and motivations, and together you create the collaborative force that drives impact. The countless hours you’ve dedicated to local and international projects are what breathe life into oikos and define its character.
Volunteers at oikos are far more than participants: you are leaders, visionaries, and catalysts for change. Whether chapter members are strategizing on the ground, alumni are rebuilding and connecting our network, or LEAP participants are contributing behind the scenes – your voices inspire, your actions spark transformation, and your dedication shapes the future of our ecosystem.
