My vision: “I wish to be a person that inspires and motivates others to reflect, to be courageous, and to bring about the change they want to see in the world themselves. I wish to work with people who don’t stop at their comfort zone but inspire others to take action as well. If one day, I could contribute to a more just world, where humans respect nature again and we all collaborate to fight climate change – that’s my vision.”
After realizing in high school, that social justice, nature, and climate action are topics I am passionate about, I decided to do my bachelors in Environmental- and Bioresources Management, while constantly dealing with social science aspects. I got to experience sustainable development from several perspectives due to my work and various internships in academia, politics, an NGO, and of course within my personal life choices. With my master’s degree in Sustainable Development, I can fully focus on following my passion, strengthening my knowledge, and working in an interdisciplinary and international environment. I spent a semester at the University of Basel in Switzerland for an exchange which enabled me to broaden my horizon and apply new research methods. Additionally, I am preparing for my upcoming Ph.D. dealing with psychological factors within sustainable action, where I hope to combine previous experience with my interest in working with young international people in sustainable development cooperation.
