This week, we officially completed this year’s LEAP Leadership Program! On Wednesday and Thursday, the young leaders gathered for their final LEAP 2025 session in the form of a closing ceremony. It was an opportunity to look back on the past six months, experiences, and learnings from the program, as well as to set sights ahead and look at our futures and what we hope to see come out of it.
The session was not only marking the end of LEAP program. It was truly a celebration of the start of a new chapter in participants’ lives and their newfound prowess as responsible leaders, as well as a recognition of the progress they’d made since April. Together with PRME and winded.vertigo, we created a space for reflection, inviting participants to think about where they were at the start and where they are now.
At the ceremony, the PRME team announced the winners of the 2025 Business Case Competition. This competition challenged students from the PRME Students community and the LEAP Leadership Development Programme to design bold, purpose-driven business solutions to address SDG-related challenges. We are delighted to see a LEAP 2025 participant, Uliana Kisataeva, among the winners. They will present projects at PRME’s 2025 Thought Leadership Summit this December, sharing their innovations with global leaders, academics, and sustainability experts.
Throughout the session, we opened the space for discussion on how leadership is experienced and perceived differently by each person. Building on that, oikos co-presidents reminded us what regenerative leadership is all about and how we can apply the skills learned in our personal and professional lives. Exercises hosted by winded.vertigo team allowed us to dive deeper into harvesting what participants learnt and took away from the program.
Some of the most heartfelt moments of these closing ceremonies were the stories of LEAP participants and alumni who shared their personal experiences, what they felt, and how it shaped their lives. This perfectly rounded up the ceremonies, leaving an open ending to each one of the participants’ leadership journeys. A bittersweet feeling that it’s over, but filled with hope and excitement about what comes next!
