oikos Co-Presidency 2025-2027: Meet the candidates!

We’re excited to announce that four amazing candidates are running to be the next oikos International Co-President, with the election set for the upcoming Spring Legislative Meeting, on 13 April!

These are the candidates in alphabetical order:

François Bernier | oikos Brussels

I believe in responsible stewardship—whether it’s supporting people, strengthening communities, or managing our environment wisely. Protecting nature and reducing pollution matter, not just for the planet but for improving daily life. I also find deep inspiration in the beauty of landscapes, especially in the mountains or at sunset.
This commitment to impact also drives my work in community building. As VP of Chapter Development & Community Building, I helped launch initiatives like the Chapter Houses and Community Calls to make oikos stronger and more connected. I’ve learned that real change happens through personal support and tailored assistance for individual Chapters. As co-president, I want to build on this foundation, expanding our reach and strengthening our community.
Beyond my work, I love exploring new ideas—whether in history, finance, or even 3D printing. More than anything, I enjoy meaningful conversations, exchanging ideas, and building connections that last.

Gustavo Loiola | oikos Partner Network

Gustavo Loiola is a sustainability voice and leader with over 10 years of experience in education, consulting, and organizational transformation. He is a PhD candidate in Operations Management and Sustainability at FGV, with academic exchanges at Columbia University and Audencia Business School. Gustavo led the PRME Champions Group at the UN Global Compact and developed accountability frameworks for responsible management education. He has supported ESG implementation in companies, taught at top Brazilian institutions, and is driven by the purpose of empowering youth, future leaders and organizations to drive positive change through responsible management and the SDGs.

Jule Neumann | oikos Graz

I am an enthusiastic nature seeker, drawn to mountains and forests, yet my daily retreat is a simple walk in the countryside. The ocean holds an even deeper place in my heart, fueling my commitment to supporting NGOs and organisations that protect our ecosystems. From hands-on cleanups to educating communities, I strive to promote sustainability at every level, encouraging a holistic way of living.

My name is Jules, and I am deeply passionate about sustainability. I started my educational career in Business Management and transitioned to a Master’s in Environmental System Science. I joined oikos Graz in 2021, where I could actively shape impact-driven projects. Later on I moved to Costa Rica and was working on a coffee farm, I experienced eco-tourism, regenerative agriculture, and carbon neutrality firsthand.

Back in Europe, I moved to Spain and joined oikos International to further expand my ability build and connect communities around sustainability.

Maksymilian Puścian | oikos Warsaw

Hi oikees! I’m Maks and I’ve been a part of oikos Warsaw since November 2022. I’m Polish, though not originally from Warsaw. I live there, study, work and cherish the time that I spend with my friends. Since I joined I had a great opportunity to learn, to lead and to make connections. During summer 2022 I discovered more of my true values, since then I strive to make a real impact in this world. There’s nothing I love more than helping people realise their potential and in my chapter I saw that my leadership inspired others to follow my steps and further our cause. The people that I’ve met through oikos are my greatest inspiration to be hopeful about the future. Now I take the leap, using my lifelong experience as a thinker to expand my impact as a doer. Let’s work toward becoming a growing, resilient community together.

If your chapter has not registered a representative who will vote on its behalf, make sure to do so before the Legislative Meeting! Only full oikos chapters are eligible to vote.
