oikos encourages students to take ownership of the Sustainable Development Goals so that they are ones developing a sustainable future for the generations ahead.
oikos Jamshedpur provides an opportunity to have an impact on reaching SDGs in an Indian context by opening a call for the Case Study Competition titled “Sustainable Smart City Challenge”.
The case study competition is supported by JUSCO, a TATA group company responsible for municipal services and civic amenities in Jamshedpur, India. Jusco’s span of operations strives towards providing comprehensive and sustainable solutions for urban infrastructure needs namely power distribution, municipal solid waste management, and engineering and construction.
The case study competition invites solutions and ideas to help JUSCO accomplish Sustainable Development Goals defined by the UN and make Jamshedpur a smarter city.
The competition is open for Indian as well as international participants. Teams of maximum 3 students can participate in the competition. Deadline for submitting PPT is February 8, 2018. 5 selected teams will have an opportunity to introduce their ideas on February 10, during the oikos Asia Meet 2018. International teams can present their solutions through VC.
