Legislative Meeting Spring 2026 Follow-up

Dear oikees,

The first Legislative Meeting of 2026 has been concluded with important decisions made by a vote from oikos Chapters’ representatives. The oikos Community came together for the online meeting on 19 April, and the following decisions were made as a result of the Chapters’ votes:

• Amaan Deshpande was elected as the next oikos International Board Member for the remainder of the 2026 term. The handover period will start as of May.
• oikos International 2025 Annual Report was approved by the Legislative Assembly. You can find it published here.
  Two constitutional amendments were introduced:
• Change in oikos Membership terms: minimum reporting and engagement requirements for oikos local member groups (here).
  Clarification of presidency re-election and maximum term (here).
• The oikos chapters in Baku, Bayreuth, Cologne, and Witten/Herdecke have been officially closed by the vote of the Legislative Assembly.
