We are launching an open call for volunteer coaches inspired to be a part of the 2024 LEAP Researchers cohort and support the next generation of leaders through 1-on-1 coaching!
As a pro bono coach, you’ll have an important role in supporting participants throughout the 8-month-long program, kicking off on March 27th and 28th. The program focuses on leadership skills and enables Early Career Researchers to become regenerative leaders through carefully thought-out practices and activities equipping them with the necessary set of skills and knowledge that supports their personal development.
What is your role as a LEAP Researchers Volunteer Coach?
The program runs from March to November, with sessions focusing on specific elements of leadership and sustainability each month. The program provides 1-on-1 coaching to participants to foster their personal development and leadership capacities. As a 1-on-1 coach, you have an important role in supporting participants on an individual level, helping them in their personal and/or professional development, and in tackling challenges they may be facing. Coaches dedicate one hour per month per coachee during the length of the program.
What is the LEAP Researchers Program?
We’re launching a new cohort of LEAP Researchers – and this year it’s going to be bigger than ever! LEAP Researchers is a part of our flagship Leadership Initiative, LEAP, and is aimed at supporting the development of responsible leadership capacities among early career researchers committed to driving positive change in the world through sustainable business practices.
For this cohort we are collaborating with the Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME) and is the largest organized relationship between the United Nations and management-related Higher Education Institutions. LEAP Researchers aims to bridge the skill set development gap in today’s workforce, addressing social, economic, and ecological challenges.
Who can apply to be a Volunteer Coach?
The call is open to everyone with coaching experience – whether professional coaches who wish to support LEAP programs, or beginners who have had limited experience in the area. We are warmly inviting everyone with prior experience in peer-to-peer or 1-on-1 coaching at oikos International as an opportunity to further develop in the field.
