Two Organizers of #EntreMind Share Lessons Learnt

picpro“On March 17th to 20th, oikos Lille has had the pleasure to host the 2016 Spring Meeting. Being part of the organization team, it has been a real challenge for me and probably for all the hosting team. But it remained full of encounters and discoveries. We had a lot of difficulties during the preparation but I am glad to see that all the activities took place and that everyone seemed to enjoy their time in Lille. As a lot of the participants I especially enjoyed the pitch contest. I was a member of the jury and I had great fun discovering projects but also people via little shows and presentations. It showed me that oikos is not only about sharing ideas and promoting sustainability but is also about implicating ourselves and working with people, from our chapter or from the international community. During these four days I learned a lot about oikos. I was glad to meet interesting people (speakers and participants) that shared with me their passion and their experiences and I enjoyed eye-opening discussions with the speakers and the executive board about oikos Lille’s opportunities. But most of all I discovered wonderful people I will be glad to meet again and to work with in the future.” – Fanny Bancourt, oikos Lille, France

“Organizing the oikos spring meeting was a big challenge, but also a big pleasure. It was the opportunity to meet  and be with a lot of international students from different backgrounds for three days, which made me discover new cultures.  « Creating an entrepreneurial mind » was the theme of the event and we set up some activities such as the hold-up and the pitch contest. I also discovered some oikos programmes during the Project Fair, and knew how to get more involved in oikos. As it was the first big event we organized, there were some organizational issues but were happy to receive the community’s feedback, which was positive overall. I encourage every chapter to organize the next spring meeting. I am looking forward to participating to the Futurelab.” – Othmane Bricha, oikos Lille, France
