Today, more than ever, the world calls for responsible leaders who can step in and empower those around them to create meaningful change toward sustainability. The question of transitioning to sustainability highlights the need for conscious leadership development. Worldwide, a growing number of sustainability researchers emphasize that our challenge cannot be resolved by technology or policy only. There is a need to address leadership, educate and prepare students to lead solutions for sustainability and focus on the role of the inner transformation. The LEAP Researchers program empowers researchers globally and connects them to make a difference.
Established in 2020, LEAP Researchers is part of our Leadership Program that supports early career researchers, developing sustainability education and fostering personal development with the goal of making them responsible leaders in their fields. The 2024 cohort in collaboration with PRME, an initiative of the United Nations Global Compact, has been our biggest one yet, involving participants from all over the world, and we have ambitious goals for the future! We want to make it even more accessible to young leaders and continue evolving and improving the learning journey while keeping it free for everyone.
To ensure that, we are launching a crowdfunding campaign over the next 40 days with a goal to raise funds that will secure financial support for free participation for next year’s cohort. Your donation will directly contribute to the LEAP journey of participants by providing continuous learning content, coaching sessions and space in a community of practice. This in turn creates a ripple effect, as our researchers equipped with the necessary skills go on to spread the impact to others through connecting and teaching, reaching hundreds of sustainable leaders and academia.
The income from this campaign will be used as a direct investment into our LEAP Researchers program and its efforts to continue in 2025. The funds will help us organize learning space and resources, assessment for our participants, honor our Program Managers’ work and the general administration cost of oikos International to keep doing the work we are doing. By donating you are supporting the longevity and further development of LEAP programs in the future and the hard work of our team that makes it possible.
