oikos Vienna will host Carina Obererlacher, Project Manager responsible for Urban Development at Wien 3420 AG. She will discuss the impact of urbanization on changing world temperature and how altering ways we conduct urbanization can have a positive impact on climate change.

What approaches does the EU pursue at research level? What strategy is being pursued for Aspern and Vienna? Does preventive climate adaptation play any role in urban development at all? These questions and more will be answered on April 4th.

Wien 3420 AG is developing a city-within-a-city which will provide homes for over 20,000 people and almost as many workplaces by 2028. Together with its partners, the development agency coordinates all urban planning activities and the building of the infrastructure at Seestadt.

The future energy system – it is a widely used term, but what exactly can one imagine under it? How will the future energy system affect me? What can I contribute to its success? Why does not Germany succeed in establishing a renewable energy system faster?

Petrit Vuthi, an engineer, will answer these and other exciting questions. Mr. Vuthi is the innovation manager of the project X-Energy, which deals with the energy system of the future.
